Award-winning filmmaker and born storyteller Shari jokingly says she came out of the womb with a pencil in her hand. Deceptive in its simplicity, her work is both subtle and surprising, embodying vulnerability, authenticity, and humanity across genres. 

 

Projects include films Three's Complicated, Kali's Vibe, Since Lisa, Proctor and Gamble PSA for the My Black is Beautiful campaign and the music video We’re The Ones, featuring Emmy Award nominee, Tituss Burgess. Shari was a script consultant on the second season of the Emmy Award-winning web series, We Speak New York. Throughout her career, Shari has worked with A list directors, producers, and actors including Spike Lee, Malcolm Lee, Denzel Washington, Robert DeNiro, Forest Whitaker, and Kerry Washington among others.
